In the past, I’ve personally done full graphic design and coding for twelve of my own websites. I’ve also had local community graphic web designers create two additional websites. But now, I outsource all this time-consuming work to Pakistan, India, or some other very inexpensive technology sector based geographical area. So what methods have I used to create my websites?

Whoever you use to host your website will typically come include free web templates. What this means is that you can download the template to your computer, or you can use an online editing program that is usually available on your web host, and most of the work is done for you. For multiple reasons included in my book, especially for utilizing one-click, simple blog creation, my favorite host is Bluehost.

The colors, backgrounds, and organization in these templates are already present, and you just drag and drop your desired pictures and text. This can be a very effective and quick way to design your website. Read the rest of this entry »

In one way, it doesn’t matter how snazzy or attractive your new site looks, because if your written content for the web is lacking then you are destined to see a serious reduction in your traffic! Content for web use comes in two equally important parts – the ‘arty’ side and the ‘wordy’ side. So it goes without saying that it is vital to put plenty of effort into both of these…

When you are putting a website together is should be shaped around your business accordingly. For example, if you are offering a painting and decorating service, then you may well want to place plenty of emphasis on colour. Likewise, a website for accountancy firm would benefit from a clearer and more direct appearance.

However, this is merely looking at things from an artistic angle; you also have the written side of your website to consider… and the importance of this should never be underestimated!!! EVER!!!

But why exactly are mere words so important? Well think of it this way. If you begin reading a story and it doesn’t grip you from the start, then you are probably going to give up on it pretty quickly, aren’t you? An internet protocol address is the secret behind those e-mails you get from various internet marketers. That is why a website like Google is able to personalize its web page according to your country of location. With a bit of carelessness on your part; hackers could hijack your computer if your system becomes porous. Google and some marketing companies on the World Wide Web use this information purely for commercial and other legitimate reasons; however, the case is different with hackers. Anonymous web surfing is one method many people are gradually embracing these days; and I am sure you want to find out how you can benefit from it as well.

The destination as well as the source of every search or messages sent over the internet is determined by this unique set of numbers called IP address. Once it is assigned to you by your internet service provider; virtually anyone online can locate where you are on the internet map. Now that you pretty much know how hackers and marketers find their ways to your computer; would it not be appropriate to prevent any abuse? Basically, marketers store your browsing activities in order to send you regular updates of products and services. Your personal information stored in the databases of these websites helps them know your browsing habits.
